Question: Where do the toxins go?
Answer: The volatile substances are released from the water and disappear into thin air where they exist in such low concentrations that they no longer constitute a health threat.

Question: What makes Purity unique?
Answer: Purity is the first filter-free kettle to remove volatile substances such as chlorine, by-products of chlorination (trihalomethanes), radon, hydrogen sulphide etc. that could exist in our water. Purity also improves the taste and odour of the water. Purity does not use a filter that needs to be changed. This makes Purity completely maintenance-free.

Question: What are the by-products of chlorination?
Answer: Water pipes contain organic matter, e.g. algae that grow in the pipes. When chlorine encounters such organic matter it reacts by forming trihalomethanes (by-products of chlorination). Trihalomethanes are thought to be carcinogenic. The trihalomethanes we refer to in the testresults (reduced by more than 95 % with Purity) are: Chloroform, Bromoform, Bromodichloromethane and Dibromochloromethane.

Question: Is Purity water good for children?
Answer: Yes, Purity removes harmful substances, thus making the water cleaner, which is good for children. Children consume a higher concentration of toxins in relation to their body weight than adults. Purity does not remove minerals that are important for children.

Question: How much water should I drink a day? How much water should I drink a day?
Answer: The amount of water you should drink depends on factors such as your body size, how physically active you are and the climate you live in. As a rule, the average person should drink between 1.5 and 2 litres a day to replace body fluids normally lost during the day.

Question: Our water is rich in lime, does Purity remove the lime?
Answer: No, Purity only removes volatile substances such as chlorine and radon. Lime is a mineral that cannot be removed completely. However, boiling causes some lime, present as temporary hardness to solidify. Read more on this here:

Question: When I‘ve boiled water, I see small particles floating around, what could they be?
Answer: Your water is probably rich in lime. The lime is released during boiling. It is not harmful and the lime filter in the spout should capture it.
